March 2016 ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

Joel Denniss

  • Joel has been CrossFiting for A little over a year now and killing it
  • Since Joel has started CrossFit with ‘Plus’ the biggest change within himself that he has noticed is that he has a lot more energy now then ever before.
  • CrossFit movement of choice?
    Snatches, Heavy snatches J
  • I would have to say my least favourite CrossFit Movement would be Thrusters but in saying that nothing is worse then getting out of ben in the morning.
  • Burpees or Squats? Squats, I love my strength. Does anyone actually likes burpees.
  • Really enjoy rowing but running, not so much.
  • I can now perform bar muscle ups. I could not even perform 1 pull-up before I started CrossFit.
  • I don’t drink protein, I just eat chicken.
  • What is your favourite cheat meal?
    Mmmmmm, Mexican, drooling just thinking about it.
  • Out side of the gym, I love hanging out with my mates because its always a good laugh.
  • Rarely drink coffee, but if i did, hot ;).
  • Bacon? Yes, Yes, Yes although I dont have it much.
  • My favourite event of the Reebok CrossFit open was 16.1, the 20minute grind.
  • The thing I enjoy then most about CrossFit Plus is the people, everybody is encouraging and friendly.
